If I can give this Facility a 0 star I would!I don’t even write reviews on places, but I will take the time out of my day to write one for here. I have never in my life, experienced such rudeness, feeling discriminated or overwhelmed when it comes to a hospital, clinic, etc. this has been by far the worst experience for me.I have been trying to get an appointment to get a test done, but have been getting the runaround with this clinic for the past two months and I kid you not each and every time that I have called this clinic, someone was rude to me. The only person who was actually nice was Lindsey, whom I was transferred to so that she can collect my insurance info. Other than that everyone else was terrible. I do not recommend anyone supporting this institute. I never want to go where I do not feel welcomed or safe.I was told by Christian that I should go to an imaging center instead of coming to them. If I felt like I could not pay the $576 out of pocket which is understandable BUT, I had never even told her that I could not afford it nor did I ask if there were other options. It was like she wanted to steer me away from coming there. After reading the reviews to this place, I’m upset because I should have read them before I even tried to schedule an appointment with them because the reviews are terrible. I’ve worked in customer service for years. I have southern hospitality and I know how it feels to be treated right in any business that I go to.That is not even the half of the conversation that I had with Christian. It’s more to it, I will be going to the boards for this facility! & Vicki if you see this please contact me!
My husband and I had an amazing experience with AspireHFI. We are so blessed to now be 10 weeks pregnant with our little nugget! We were able to get pregnant using the ovulation induction & timed intercourse method. Every nurse I interacted with was so nice and calming and so uplifting. Dr.Yeh and Dr.Saunders were just the greatest and I can’t recommend them enough!
I can’t recommend Dr Kim enough. He is a wonderful doctor who makes me feel immediately at ease. I have been through many procedures with him and have successfully conceived 2 beautiful daughters with his help (crossing fingers it’s 3 all from my one egg retrieval 9 years ago). He knows the science forwards and backwards but also has the bedside manner that makes me feel like I’m talking to an old friend. His MA, Vanessa, has been with us the entire time. She’s an amazing human too!
I recently experienced the most amazing service Ive seen in a long time. From the first call to make an appointment, everything was handled with exceptional efficiency. They promptly sent all the necessary information to be filled out prior to the visit and provided links to a learning portal. The handy app they offer allows me to view the entire treatment plan, track lab tests, and correspond with the coordinator effortlessly.Upon arrival, I felt like I was entering a spa. The dimmed lights, soothing music, and pleasant aroma created a serene atmosphere. Dr. Maya Kriseman was incredibly attentive, answering all my questions, clearing my doubts, and suggesting various options with great care. What truly stood out to me was having a coordinator always available in the app, which is perfect since I prefer not to make phone calls. Bailey, the coordinator, is exceptionally specific and detailed in her responses, ensuring I am always aware of my next steps. I feel completely informed and confident about the journey ahead.Although I am still on the road to pregnancy, the experience of interacting with such a dedicated team has been incredibly rewarding. A heartfelt thank you to the hardworking staff at Katy for their outstanding service!
This was the worst experience i ever had in my fertility journey. It was just about money and waited until the very last minute to tell me they would not proceed after making me go through an expensive surgery. I parted either several thousands of dollars with shattered dreams because of this hospital.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Run.Please, do your own research. Google recent Houston news articles about Aspire HFI and the Piney Point surgery center in August 2024.Dealing with this clinic is the epitome of Murphys Law. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong… at the most inopportune time. Aspire will protect itself above all. I was a patient for 10 months, and it is the most unethical organization I’ve ever experienced. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. The mass exodus of staff and physicians speaks for itself.Literally a nightmare.
Aspire HFI in Katy lost one of the best IVF docs to another large practice. Dr. Kim was the best doctor ever. He is genuine, extremely knowledgeable and we had a pleasure working with him. However, the patient management process ASPIRE HFI has set up is very poor. No IVF nurses are assigned to patients, there are no case managers, so patients have to call the main line all the time without knowing where to address their questions. The app messages were coming from all over, so patients dont know who is in charge of their treatment. Very offputting impersonal conveyor setup. My 1st ever IVF cycle was supposed to start and they totally dropped the ball telling me to order my IVF meds the day of stims. Seriousely! No one even checked if I had $10,000 worth of IVF meds on hand (these take 2 days to order from my pharmacy) to start the cycle and which specialty pharmacy to get them from. The day of my stims I received a message via the app to start giving myself shots and when I told them that I did not even know where to get those meds because no one discussed it with me or taught me what to do with them, the nurse was like oh, is this your first IVF cycle? Dah! Unbelievable! My insurance covers IVF 100% and I have unlimited cycles covered, working with it is so easy, but this is not where I will be dropping $30k of insurance benefits at. They could not even find out which specialty pharmacy to send my IVF protocol to, coordinate everything and do it on time. We left for another clinic, although we absolutely loved working with Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim was leaving ASPIRE for another clinic soon after. And rightly so. We are glad he will have better support network to lean on he deserves, instead of total chaos and lack of competent patient management team. Patients at other clinics have assigned IVF nurses to manage their IVF cycles. It is much better than poor case management ASPIRЕ HFI has to offer. Please go find Dr. Johnathan Kim at another clinic.
Dr. Kim is wonderful, knowledgeable, super professional, caring and made me feel at ease right away. Every appointment with him was a pleasant experience, and he invested a very good amount of time into his patients. The case management system at Aspire HFI is a wreck though. They treat you like a number. When I got to a live person on the phone I never knew who I was talking to. When I asked them to review the genetic test results with me, I was brushed off and told to contact the test lab. Strange.Dr. Kim has made plans with us to start IVF cycle at the beginning of the week that was discussed several weeks prior. He said the clinic would initiate financial authorization process with Progyny, where we have amazing coverage. I took the meds I was prescribed for 10 days, flew in for the appointment from another state, went through blood tests and ultrasound, everything was fine. Then at the checkout I was told that I still needed financial clerance... nothing else was discussed, no IVF, no instructions for the day, no plan of actions, nothing. I was let go without knowing what the next steps were, as if it was not important.During the day I missed a call from the office as I was on the phone, but returned the call 6 minutes later. Got nowhere, as their answering machine asks to dial some extensions, but I dont even know who called and where to call back. So I thought if it is something important about IVF cycle, theyd surely call back.In the end of the day I see there is a bunch of messages in the portal instructing me to do a list of INJECTIONS BY MYSELF by the end of that same day. How is it even possible? I did not have any meds, no one during the office visit even hinted theys require me to do that that day, what to get, where to get it... a complete mess. I tried to ask questions via the portal, but kept getting copy/paste replies that the office was closed. I dialed several times and was able to get thru to someone on call, who told be not to worry, I could start the cycle the following day. I still was not sure what was going on as no one from finance department called me to verify if I was cleared financially to start. The following day the office started calling me at 8am... what prevented them from timely following up during the previous day during the day is beyond my understanding. I was told that it was too late to start the cycle and I now needed to be on other pills that were not necessary in the first place. I was told by the nurse: We only call once, since we have a lot of patients. Well, if you only call ONCE and think your case management job ends there without following up to make sure the patient actually knows what to do at all starting the IVF cycle then what kind of care is it?! If making the patient understand the plan of action during the appointment is not important, what kind of case management is it? You are not able to coach a patient through the process and then just dump an overwhelming amount of copy/paste instructions about injections several hrs before you require to start them when the patient has no idea where even to get them?! Wow!I requested Dr. Kim to call me, which he did. He assured me that the office practices would change and that Id be getting calls to make sure all the steps are followed and offered to bring me to the office the following week to teach me how to do injections. But in the meantime Id need to take some hormon pills, time was lost, I dont know why I even flew in from another state when I could have stayed there. Tonns of confusion because the case management process is just not there. My husband felt bad with this case management practice and we decided not to bombard my body with additional pills just because someone in the office did not find it important to prepare and manage my IVF cycle like they were supposed to.
Dr. Kim was very knowledgeable. He was highly recommended. However, my experience with the nurses was not good. I had an initial consultation, which went well. I had a follow up appointment to review results and my husband’s as well. I came to learn in the appointment the Staff hadn’t ensured they had received all the tests. So I went to the appointment to then get results over the phone and to wait to get another test done. After I provided feedback, staff got the treatments plan wrong and didn’t realize what medication I was on. I was receiving mixed messages from Dr. Kim and the team. I don’t feel I could trust this clinic to treat me correctly. I hope they get their act together but it’s a red flag for me if communication between the Dr and staff isn’t there. My biggest concern was the fact they weren’t aware of the medication I was on after I had shared all this information.
Dr. Yeh and his team are miracle workers. I experienced secondary infertility for more than 10 years. I went to Methodist after a friend was successful there but I was not able to get pregnant still. It was a very discouraging 2 years there. My husband was deflated that by the time we got to Aspire HFI Katy, and only heard the $$$ talk and that I had a low chance of getting pregnant because my AMH was low (also over 40 by this point). (I never knew about AMH before this appointment even after seeing doctors for 10 years+). Well, feeling heartbroken and listening to my husband, I left and didn’t start treatment. One year passed, and I told myself now or never or I would be filled with regret. I met with Dr. Yeh again and decided to go for it— and I am so glad I did. My daughter finally has a baby brother. We are so happy. My husband is so happy with our little boy and grandparents are over the moon. I cannot thank Dr. Yeh and Dr. Kim and the whole Katy team enough. Truly Remarkable.
Dr Yeh is great, some nursing staff was terrible. I have changed clinics because of the poor care received by the nursing staff I encountered.
I’ve been through my initial consult beginning of June. Dr. Kim was very nice during the appt. He is very informative and listens to our concerns. I had my next appt for lab draw and the lab lady was just rude, felt like she hated being there. Judged me for being scared of needles, then after I expressed my fear, she told me well I will probably have to stick you 2 times because I know your veins are going to blow. It didn’t blow, because I’ve had blood drawn multiple times before with no problems. I don’t think she should’ve told me ahead of time maybe to scare me? They are very hard to get a hold of. I’ve called many times, left many messages, they take forever to respond. My OB has been requesting medical records and procedure order. My insurance won’t cover the procedure they want done unless I go with a different doctor at their clinic but I would have to wait, and I didn’t want to wait. So my OB offered to perform the procedure. However, they gave both me and my OB a very hard time to get the records. They even faxed over to my OB someone else’s records by accident (HIPAA!)
You have to go through a lot of hoops before they even discuss what your options are. They will try to sell you every service and product under the sun even if you don’t need it. They will try to wring every penny out of you and your insurance. They network with doctors and gynos and get as many people involved in the process as possible and they all get a cut along the way. Money, money, money, money. That is all they are about. You will undoubtedly pay for things you should not. Go somewhere else.
Avoid this place if you WANT TO get pregnant. Its a nightmare - the Drs are knowledgeable, however you will only see them initially then you will get a nurse who takes over ( so basically I paid a TON of money to them )and its not just one nurse you will get whichever so the communication is very poor . They mix up which meds your supposed to take / appointment times / places and NEVER feel bad.God forbid you want to spend even a minute with the Dr - you will get the evil eyes You will spend lots of money for extra unnecessary testing that they will never review with you ....if at all . The front desk person is cold . Please save your precious fertility months and get better care . We wish we did now we are out thousands and a year gone..
I am dr Griffith’s patient and been to SL, WB & Katy location. Out of all locations Katy nurses are my favorite. Extremely nice and cooperative! Nicole, Aurora and Vanessa have been incredibly sweet and understanding, there had been times when we were super frustrated due to so many failures but they always made sure to be extremely patient with us and continued the kind attitude. I can’t thank these awesome nurses enough for their tremendous service. Much love for my Katy Staff❤️ :)Naima Khan
Dr. Kim was the best infertility doctor I could have asked for. He was so knowledgeable and kind to my husband and me as we embarked on our infertility journey. He spent a lot of time in the consultation answering our questions and providing his expert opinion for a treatment plan. The office visits were so pleasant with little to no wait time. The staff are all courteous and respectful. Patient portal was easy to use so that I could check my labs and get directions from the doctor. We really enjoyed the frequent check ups after I became pregnant to provide us comfort that things were progressing as expected. Our deepest and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kim and the entire HFI team for the most amazing infertility care. I will be recommending HFI to all my friends in the future!
Avoid this clinic at all costs. Nursing staff are rude and they do not provide clear instructions to their patients. They assume that their patients already know what to expect. They do not tell you what would happen during your visits, when your next appointment with them would be, nor tell you if a procedure would be performed in another location. We werent told that the procedure would be in their Piney Point location and not in their clinic in Katy. If you could find another Aspire HFI clinic or any other fertility clinics, then better go to that one.
Dr. Kim and his staff are amazing! They are very thorough, kind, and considerate in their treatment of their patients. From beginning to end of my IVF treatment, they were the true meaning of professional. They are very knowledgeable, well educated, and make a point to ensure you receive the best care possible. By far the best medical treatment I have ever received. I was lucky enough to be successful with IVF; my beautiful daughter was born in August...healthy, happy, and perfect. Thank you Dr. Kim and your wonderful staff!
Stay far away from this franchise and location! I met with Dr. Yeh for a consultation he was very informative and overall good experience, therefore my husband and I decided to begin the process. After the initial consultation everything went downhill, the staff there is by far the RUDEST people ever they are always in a bad mood and look miserable and have no compassion they seem annoyed when you ask questions and overall unpleasant. The financial coordinator throws inaccurate numbers at you and then you get billed outrages fees for all the unnecessary blood work the dr orders. I was not given specific instructions by one of the nurses of the next steps and when it was time for a procedure I was “supposedly” not able to have it bc I didn’t follow the instructions given and was scolded over the phone by one of the nurses which clearly they dropped the ball and blamed me. I was then told Dr Yeh wanted me to redo all the pre work again that would put me out thousands of more dollars out of my pocket to redo all the work I did a few weeks ago. The dr never contacted me the whole staff and dr were very unprofessional about the whole situation. Overall the worse experience with this facility staff and dr yeh. So glad I decided to go elsewhere and found a dr and staff who truly care.
If your insurance covers your IVF 100% beware this place will still send your medication to their own pharmacy that they own. We were cleared to start and they refused to send our medication to our in network pharmacy. They wanted us to pay 7k for something that is FREE with insurance. Totally ruined our process and we have decided to go elsewhere. They own their own pharmacy and will push that on you.
If you’ve gone through fertility treatments you know how expensive it is, how stressful it is and how emotional it can be. I’d like to thank the financial counselors, especially Kerrigan and Selika. As well as Ms. Breedlove who’s over the business office. They’ve been nothing short of amazing and patient with me. I thank God that they’ve helped me through the toughest thing my husband and I have ever experienced. Thank you Aspire Fertility for these ladies.
I have visited with Dr.Kim afew times and each time he was very attentive, detail oriented, warm and very professional. He made me feel content with the decision at hand. Update - followed Dr. Kim’s counsel and worked through a few health corrections and YES ... I’m pregnant! Can’t go wrong with Dr Kim !!!!! He is the BEST !Like many have stated - the financial counselor is without a doubt condescending, cold and somewhat rude. A dialogue with her makes you feel less than and almost like you are past due on a bill. The financial discussion should be very basic and why she cannot just simply be warm and kind I don’t get it.All in all Dr. Kim makes the visit worthwhile.Update - The Director of HFI followed up with me and she was very apologetic and understanding, she spent sometime going over my review asked probing questions and promised to address the concerns.
Dr Kim successfully implantation for my wife.Great Doctor, knowledgeable and care about the procedure, that why he got a successful transfer procedure to my wife. I am highly recommended to all mother to be, as soon as read this review and please rush to HFI office and works with this facility to make your dream come true.Thank you Dr Kim and best wish to you for more success transfer in future.
She was really good at listening and addressing concerns that we had!
Dr. Kim and and his staff have been amazing. They have provided the best care and performed a miracle for us that we will be forever grateful for. It is because of your care and attention to detail that you discovered why were were having trouble conceiving after 4 previous doctors failed to diagnose us. We will miss you all greatly and will keep in touch.
Dr Kim and staff are beyond helpful. The staff in the Katy office make you feel comfortable as you prepare for the next beautiful stage in your life. My only qualm is the coldness and rudeness of their financial advisor, Selika. She isnt the most pleasant, though her tone may say otherwise. Each time I had to discuss HFI returning funds owed for a claim, I felt like a gnat in the room she wanted to swat. She gave me the wrong information and her resolve was for her to say she cant do anything about it because its the billing departments decision. Thats unacceptable!
Do not recommend at all. All they care about is money and not your overall well being. Good luck ever seeing your doctor, pretty much all my scans were some a different doctor or from a nurse who couldn’t answer my questions and didn’t even know what day of my cycle I was on. I had 2 egg retrievals here and neither were successful. My 2nd egg retrieval wasn’t performed by my doctor and upon reviewing my medical records, I had already ovulated by the time my retrieval took place. They failed to mention that to me and told me it was my fault and that my body wouldn’t respond to the meds. I was constantly pushed into using donor eggs. I switched clinics and it was the best decision. Go find a clinic that will actually care about you.
I love the doctors and staff at HFI. The staff have always gone way above expectations to make my visits comfortable. I work full time and have a hard time getting time off. HFI understands that. They were always flexible setting my appointments around my busy schedule. I highly recommend Dr. Haddad and Dr. Kim. Vanessa is always sweet and greets me with a smile.
After being told by Dr. Kim that the only way we would be able to conceive would be through IVF, we opted to get a second opinion which was absolutely worth it. Granted between my husband and myself, we had some issues that were hindering us getting pregnant. However, after my husband got a second opinion at the Man Center in Houston, THAT doctor was able to get to the root of the issue my husband was having and corrected it (and took him off the medication Dr. Kim said he would need to be on for the rest of his life). He had his procedure done at the Man Center in November of last year and we had a positive pregnancy test in January - conceived naturally - after almost 3 years of trying. While IVF might be the end all for some given their situation, it never hurts to get a second opinion before committing your time, emotions and your money to the process.
We worked with Dr Kim and it was a great experience (as much as you can say it considering circumstances). Everyone at the Katy office was very helpful and understanding. We got pregnant with a first frozen transfer!
Houston Fertility Institute is beyond amazing! Dr. Hoff, Rebecca, Vanessa, Jocelyn, and Katrina are extremely welcoming, helpful, kind, thorough and understanding. Ive had a million questions during my fertility journey and Dr. Hoff compassionately listened to each one of them. I made several calls regarding lab results and my next steps of care and Rebecca was so sweet and helpful with each call. Their staff is extremely genuine and loving. Embarking on a fertility journey is nerve wracking and scary, Dr. Hoff really held my hand through the process. HFI Katy is the epitome of a private, respectful, compassionate, detailed oriented in customizable patient care fertility specialist. Each visit is organized and on time. I never wait in the waiting room and the facility itself is very clean and beautiful. I am forever thankful for my experience at HFI and will recommended to my loved ones.
BEWARE THE KATY LOCATION!!! My husband and I wanted a pre-conception visit to get checked out and to get some realistic expectations in place. This is our story:I initially met with Dr. Hoff, who seemed nice and knowledgable. I was given a bunch of paperwork and sent on my way. I had three visits at the clinic: an initial meeting with the doctor, and two appointments for ultrasounds and blood work. I was told everything looked really healthy, and I was then pushed to do a hysteroscopy. I declined - why would you put a perfectly healthy person under anesthesia and perform an unnecessary procedure, especially when that patient hasnt even tried getting pregnant naturally yet?My husband had one blood draw and had his sample taken, and we were told he needs to see a urologist. But no further details were given when we asked for them - we were always told to check the client portal. Upon constantly checking the portal for updates, all that was found were a bunch of blood levels that most of us dont really understand. There were no notes or next steps (aside from getting a totally unnecessary and UNETHICAL procedure), or anything helpful at all.Fast forward, after a very unpleasant month of dealing with this clinic, we decided to try to get pregnant on our own, and wed visit a different clinic after 6 months if needed. We tried, and the very first month we were pregnant (hooray!).Since then, I have received over FIVE THOUSAND dollars of bills from LabCorp. At my initial appointment with Dr. Hoff, I was told everything would be coded as diagnostic until actual treatment was needed, but it turns out they coded everything as fertility treatment - what treatment exactly did you provide? Everything was basic, diagnostic testing to see if further intervention was needed. And yes - this was all for very basic blood work checking whats checked at an annual physical.AVOID THIS CLINIC! They dont care about you. Youre just another dollar in their pocket. I was recommended this clinic by a friend who has had three children with their treatment - who has the same insurance as me, and also confirmed she wasnt charged anything out of pocket until actual fertility treatment was needed. She saw Dr. Abdallah on Fondren, and I so wish we had gone there for the preconception visit. Go see him! Its worth the extra drive!!!!!
Dr. Kim is amazing, he has a great bedside manner and really listens to you. We look forward to starting our fertility journey with a doctor that we trust.
He is so good at what he does and very realistic which is what is needed.
Today was my initial consultation and Im convinced Dr Kim is amazing. 100% thorough, realistic and hilarious. We had the most comfortable consult.
Nursing staff is extremely rude and rush you through everything (and I am a RN/FNP), offering little explanation of services required or what visits will entail. Response time is delayed because a call center answers the phones 90% of the time.
Dr Yeh is amazing! He spent time going through specifics based on my fertility needs and answered all my questions. He was very personable and made it a wonderful experience!
HFI is an amazing practice. My experience is with the Katy office and Dr. Kim. Every step of the process has been great. The staff is wonderful. Highly recommend!
One of the best laboratory experiments ever , the girl on the ultrasound she’s was kindly and very helpful and very patient and knowledgeable 🫶🏼, and the two girls in blood test they were very good and friendly.. woow I love guys you changing my day 😎
Beware. The entire process is incredibly impersonal and the method of communication, their app, is absolutely ridiculous. Takes days to resolve issues. If you looking for personal, informative experience, beware.
Dr. Haddad and ALL of the ladies at HFI Katy are amazing!! My husband and I had been trying for 4 years to get pregnant, and with my first ivf cycle I am now pregnant with twins. I can not express how wonderful these guys are. They made my dreams come true!! Lucky for me my ob/gyn is in the same building, so I will be able to pop in and say hi. Thank you HFI!!!
Currently a patient at HFI katy location with Dr. Yeh. IVF went beyond empextations and we got a couple of frozen embryos out of the cycle. IVF is not easy, it is a stressful, emotional, hormonal process. HFI has being extremely accommodating to make sure that standards are met, and have resolved all issues that have arised. Soon we will be transferring a frozen embryo and we are extremely excited and happy that we have made it this far.
After hour person was very rude. She didn’t allow me to voice my concern at all. Cut me off before I could finish my sentence and explain the situation. Really discouraging about continuing to go to this establishment. One bad apple is spoiling the bunch.
DR Hoff was amazing, treated my wife and I like we were the only people here. Our daughter would not be here if it wasnt for the amazing people at this place... We are forever grateful!!!!!
Doctor Jason Yeh and his entire staff is a blessing to me and my family .great doctor with compassionate spirit, respectul.thank God lam pregnant. God bless you all.
The lady in the front desk is not helpful I ask here many times to call my insurance and the answer is I’m sure they don’t cover you. How she knows without call ? And I call my insurance and they say they cover 80% is they file the claim. She just don’t want to make here job
Dr Yeh is all about numbers. Spits out statistics and barely listens to you. Several times when we tried to ask him a question he said yeah yeah yeah and just moved on to what he had to say.
I absolutely love working with Dr. Yeh! He is a great Dr. and he is kind and he is honest.
Great fertility clinic I recommend to anyone that’s trying to have a baby
Learned soo much on my first visit. Dr. Hoff was amazing!
Really bad service I been I. Hold for pasa 10min someone answered but told me to hold agin am still on the phone waiting for some one to answer
Dr. Kim is amazing! Highly recommend.
I felt that I was one more number for them in 2017 when I had my first IVF.
Don’t waste your time here. Go to a real clinic that actually cares
Great providers!...esp Sandra Bello, md
Dr. Kim is a miracle worker.
The staff is BEYOND rude this was one of the worst experiences I had
Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Very thorough and attentive
He takes the time to explain each step and any questions very well, beautiful person.
I would like to take a moment of my day to thank all the excellent and professional team at this institution ASPIRE HOUSTON FERTILITY KATY, only here after many years trying to get pregnant I was able to achieve it through IVF, grateful to everyone, especially Doctor Jasson, very professional in their work and the nurses especially Aurora, the women who have not yet fulfilled their dream of being a MOM never lose their hopes. Gods timing is Perfect 🙏🙏🙏🙏.
Very good doctor
